The electro-house duo that is The Disco Fries stormed the scene in late 2007 with a barrage of top charting white label remixes and releases through Av8 Records. The duo was quickly featured on record pools such as DJ City, Starfleet Music, and New York Record Pool and within months had built a strong following of DJs who supported their work.
While attending school at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA, the young producers began a start-up licensing & production company, Arkatone Music, with Los Angeles based composer Will Forbes. Having already licensed works to companies such as ESPN, MTV, and Comcast, Danny “Danger” Boselovic and Nick “Piklz” Ditri started their remix work under the moniker “The Disco Fries”.
Since landing their first commissioned remix in 2009 with Flo Rida’s “Sugar”, the two have been asked to add their signature sound to remixes of Usher, Estelle, Selena Gomez, Nelly Furtado, Ida Corr, and many others. Meanwhile, the duo continues to collaborate with 2 time Grammy Award winner Fatman Scoop, and in the months to come have releases planned with DJ Class (of “I’m the Ish” fame), Honorebel, and Jeremy Carr (of Deep at Night).
In the fall of 2009, The Disco Fries brought their live act to the clubs, performing across the globe in Hong Kong. Following their international debut, they have appeared in clubs up and down the East Coast, as well as returned to Hong Kong & China for additional performances.
In June 2010, The Disco Fries received widespread exposure when they produced a single for Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino (of TV’s The Jersey Shore). The track has since been featured on TMZ, E!, CNN, and Perez Hilton’s Blog.
